Academic Plans

There is one major reason why I am going to college. That reason is to play baseball. Going to college is a great opportunity for me. I think I have earned this opportunity because I have put in a lot of hard work into my baseball. While going to Butler County, I am pursuing an associate’s degree in chemical engineering. This is a very difficult career field, but I believe I will reap the benefits later in life. After spending two years at Butler County, I plan on attending a divisions-1 college to pursue further a career in baseball, hopefully getting drafted. While at the four-year college I choose, I plan on finishing my plan on getting a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. When I thought about going to college, only one thought entered my mind. That thought was to play baseball in college. I have never really given much thought into what I would like to do in college. I have always felt that by the time I graduated college, I would be good enough to play baseball in the pros. Although, there is always that chance that I may not play in the pros. In that case, my degree would be in chemical engineering. I have two strong subjects in school. They are math and science. Chemical engineering involves both of them. I think this is the field of study for me. The school I would like to go to finish my degree is The University of Oklahoma. It has great departments in the fields that involve math and science. I believe it is my place to go there.
